The Gap Year Academy, is a family run ski and snowboard instructor training programme run by former British freestyle team skier Chris David, who after years of running a large snowsport school in Verbier in conjunction with an equally successful gap year programme has now focussed his efforts and expertise in training the next generation of professional ski and snowboard instructors.

The Gap Year Academy is offering you the exiting opportunity to become a fully qualified ski or snowboard instructor under the expert guidance of some of the industry’s most experienced coaches and in some of the leading and most picturesque resorts worldwide.

Current course locations include, Banff (Canada), Val d'isere (France), Zermatt (Switzerland), Verbier (Switzerland) and more locations will be announced shortly.

Courses include a choice of some fantastic accommodation, resort lift pass, course and exam fees, uniform, equipment deals and of course an unforgettable time.

On successful completion of the course candidates will benefit from our extensive connections gained through many years of experience in the industry. The Gap Year Academy will assist all new ski and snowboard instructors in finding work in reputable schools, and will often find placements for people immediately after passing the course.
